Kiewit-Flatiron, a joint venture of Peter Kiewit Sons Co. and Flatiron Constructors Canada Limited, is currently engaged in the design and construction of the Port Mann Highway No.1 Project. The Project includes the construction of a new Port Mann Bridge, and the widening of the Highway No.1 and the upgrade of interchanges between McGill Street in Vancouver and 216 Street in Langley. Envirowest has been retained by the design manager for the Project to conduct biophysical inventories of the design corridor and to conduct an assessment of impacts on aquatic and vegetation resources. We are conducting the design for construction of impact mitigation and compensation fish and wildlife habitats for the Project. These habitats include streams, wetlands and riparian woodlands. These design habitats are the foundation of a Section 35(2) Fisheries Act Authorization for the Project.
